Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for scrapping a car?

Scrapping a car can be completed in four easy steps!
  • You can either complete our online form or give us a call at 1-866-520-9750 in order to receive an instant cash offer.
  • Once you accept your offer, we will collect additional information that’s needed to finish the process (to see this information by state, please see below)
  • We will schedule a pick-up for your junk car, so that it may be towed at no additional cost to you. Or, you can drop it off at your local Pick-n-Pull store for same day payment.
  • After we receive your junk car, you will receive a check that can either be delivered by the tow truck driver, mailed to your home address, or picked up at one of our local stores.

What paperwork do I need to sell my car?

In most cases, we will only need the vehicle's Certificate of Title, however, in some states other documentation may be needed.

For more details by state, see the information below.

If my name is not on the title can I still sell my junk car?

In most cases, we can buy your junk car if your name is not on the title, however, in some states you may need to get a new title or other documentation before we can buy it.

For more details by state, see the information below.

Will you still buy my vehicle if I cannot deliver it to your store?

Yes, we can pick up your car or truck at no additional cost if it is within our established tow area.

If I am using your towing services, how long does it take to pick up my junk car?

We schedule pickups for the first date and time available and it is usually within 48 to 72 hours.

What types of vehicles do you buy?

We buy all cars, trucks, vans and SUVs — any year, make or model (running or not).

Do you buy RVs, ATVs or motorcycles?

No, unfortunately we do not.

Can I sell a totaled or wrecked car?

Yes, we will ask you a few simple yes or no questions about the condition of your junk car to determine the value.

Can I sell a car with broken parts?

Yes, we will ask you a few simple yes or no questions about the condition of your car to determine the value.

How much will you pay for my vehicle?

Our prices are based on many different factors including the year, the demand for parts for that make or model, and the overall condition of the car or truck. Our prices are not based on a Kelly Blue Book value and cannot be adjusted based on repairs or upgrades.

How will I get paid cash for my vehicle?

We will provide you with a check on the spot when we purchase your junk car or truck, whether we pick up the vehicle or you bring it to one of our Pick-n-Pull stores.

Do I need to be there when you come to pick up my junk car?

Yes, however, if you are not able to be present when we come to tow your junk car, van or truck, we can make arrangements for you to drop off your ownership documents at a designated Pick-n-Pull location.

Can I sell my car or truck by going directly to a Pick-n-Pull store?

Yes, just bring your title/registration, your photo ID and the keys for that vehicle to any of our Pick-n-Pull locations and we will buy it from you there.

What if my name changed and doesn’t match the name printed on my title?

You will need to provide proof of the name change – a marriage certificate, legal name change document, etc.

For more details by state, see the information below.

Why do you call it cash for junk cars when you pay by check?

People tend to ask for cash when they sell their cars, more than they ask for a check, so in order to make sure you can find us, we use the word cash.

I just replaced the tires on my junk car, will that be factored into the payment?

Unfortunately, upgrades like new radios or tires won’t affect how much we can pay you for your junk car. Our prices are based on scrap metal prices, not traditional methods of car pricing like Kelly Blue Book.

What happens when you scrap a car?

When you scrap a car, the car will be stripped of its parts, drained of all fluids, crushed and recycled as scrap metal.

I don’t have the keys to my junk car anymore, is that okay?

Absolutely! If you have proof of ownership of the junk car, we will happily buy it from you.

How long is my cash for junk cars quote good for?

Due to the prices of scrap metal constantly fluctuating, our quotes for junk cars can change at any time until they are accepted and all the information that we need has been provided.
